I was so excited to do this maternity session for my best friend.  She's so excited to be a mommy and was most definetly glowing.  I have never taken pictures for someone more prepared for a session....it was so great!!  At one point, we laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.  Everytime I look at a certain picture I burst out into laughter all over again.  Thanks for the good laugh, I needed it!

She used this as her baby shower thank you cards.  How cute is that?!

Thanks for asking me to photograph this special time for you.  I loved every minute of it!!

I actually photographed this session right before Christmas and posting it has been on my to do list for quite some time now.  Betsy called me 2 weeks before Christmas because as we all know it sneaks up on us very fast!  I was able to do the session, edit them, get them to her, and she was able to mail her cards out before Christmas....talk about quick turnaround!!  :)

Pinterest!

By now, many people have heard of Pinterest, but just in case you haven't let me just say "I absolutely love it!"  I have been viewing pins for quite some time, but I actually just took the plunge and joined.  I'm not really sure why it took me so long, probably because I was afraid of becoming more addicted than I already was.  I have told quite a few people about it and most people love me for it, but there may be some out there that are not very happy with me because it's a proven fact that Pinterest is very addictive.

What is Pinterest?

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard.  It let's you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web.  People use pinboards to decorate their homes, organize their favorite recipes, and help plan their weddings.  Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people.  Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

Since I just started I only have 9 boards.  I have been going on daily and adding new pins/boards constantly.  My boards consist of photography inspiration, home decor, favorite quotes, recipes, kid stuff, crafts, and my style.  You can view all of my boards here:  http://pinterest.com/jscheuler/

I love Pinterest because of the people.  It is a bunch of tasteful people who like beautiful and really cool things.  If you are already on, make sure you add me so I can follow you too.  If you aren't send me an email or leave a comment here and I'll hook you up with an invite!  You won't be sorry, unless of course you are super busy and have no time to spare.  It is possible to just spend a few minutes on there. but good luck with that!  :)  Whatever you do, just remember I warned you!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with this adorable 2 yo and her beautiful mamma on this chilly day in November.  This little lady was so excited to get pictures taken and wasn't shy one bit!  It helped that we were in one of her favorite places, the Decatur Public Library. 

 I just love her pink cowboy boots!  I need a little girl!

I can't tell you how much I love this picture.  I just think it is so sweet.  I want one like this with my little guy.  I have a feeling they are not always going to want to give us kisses so we need to get all we can now!

Forsyth / Decatur, IL Photographer - boy's will be boy's!

I love it when kids ham it up for the camera!  I had no problems getting smiles out of these handsome little guy's.   They actually really liked getting their pictures taken!  It was perfect weather for pictures and the sunset was amazing, providing great light.  Thanks for letting me capture your adorable family!  I can't wait to show you the rest!  Feel free to leave a comment below, I would love to hear which one is your favorite.
